Samtrot is a mutation, let's say a freak of nature, of Pinot Meunier discovered not too far away from Daniel's hills back in 1928 in Heilbronn, Southern Germany.
The characteristics of this rare grape variety are similiar to Pinot Noir. Cherry-fruit, pleasing acidity and overall a very charming body.
2019 was an exceptional vintage that made this wine very full of life, purity and detail. Layer over layer you'll find how Daniel's fine touch comes to play.
This will impress any parent in-law.
